Okay, I was at Flow Festival 2011 in Helsinki this year 12.-14.8.. No wonder some call it the Fashion Week of Helsinki. You could really see the latest of the latest trends. My friend Eric is quite style conscious so he had to have something special everyday. I tried my best too, I really loved my first days outfit:
Electric swimsuit I bought from an online flea market last year. It says Dior but I highly doubt that. 🙂 The skirt is from Zara, I really really love it. It stays in shape as it is quite stiff. The shoes are from Dinsko’s children’s department. I get sometimes lucky, because nobody wants to see a 7-year old wearing too fierce shoes, so all the 32-sized shoes are in the FINAL SALE-shelf. Original price 40€ ->> 9,95€. Nice one, and real leather too. The necklace and matching bracelets are from H&M. They were really cool but kinda annoying because the feathers got tangled all the time and tickled me.
In the pic we are at Eric’s balcony. Here’s some pics:
AND, I learned how to do french braids. Through Youtube.
Fancy vest huh?
And some pics from the evening with all the lights:
I am making all the days separate posts. Unfortunately the last gig was Röyksopp which we both really like. We were about in the third row, so very close to the stage. The show was actually quite boring, everybody said so after-wards. There weren’t really any other favorites, so we travelled back and forth to Herttoniemi to drink some booze. Quite boring, I have to try to stay in the venue next year. Even though it might mean super expensive ciders.
After that, I headed to DTM, which had a foam party. Unfortunately my phone’s battery had long died so couldn’t get any pics from the Röyksopp or the foamy gays! 😦 At least I was already wearing the swimsuit…
This time I cooked for Kim! I didn’t know he was not a fan of BBQ–sauce, but he did eat it anyway. So I made a BBQ-chicken baguette. It was super easy to make, just took some effort. Anyone who has cleaned a rotisserie chicken knows it’s a nightmare especially if you are super hungry (I DID NOT EAT ALL OF THE MEAT BEFORE IT HIT THE PAN).
- 1 rotisserie chicken
- A baguette (I love Primulas)
- Some cheese (Ok this was an accident, the label said “tuorejuusto” and I assumed it was soft cheese, but turned out to be “Finnish Milk Cheese (??)” [kotijuusto]. Didn’t work like I hoped. I would recommend bleu cheese here, but it was so high in the store I couldn’t reach it and got bored to wait someone to come give it to me…)
- Some salad
First, you clean the grilled chicken and tear the meat as much as you can, with a fork or like I did, with fingers. Then you pile up the teared up chicken to a pan and add as much BBQ-sauce as you like. I put like… 1-2 dl… This depends on your liking and the amount of chicken. Then you heat the meat in the pan and meanwhile I halved and split the baguette to two pieces (See the pic if you can’t figure out what I mean…) Then I put the cheese in between and placed them in the oven opened under “grill mode”. When the breads get a bit crusty, I filled them with the lovely moist BBQ-chicken and some salad and that’s it. Easy as … making babies, ehh? I really wish I had the bleu cheese but it was eatable. I would recommend feta too, if you are not a fan of bleu cheese. I bet you could do this too with a sweet chilli sauce or a curry sauce too.
We had a nice dinner with Kim & Anton at my place. I’m so happy, I have an htc again! As you can see, it gives a lot better image quality. I’ve taken these with Vignette App, which I bought the full version for. I really love my Sensation.
So we had oven-baked salmon, hollandaise sauce and potatoes with some baguette. For the dessert we had blueberry curd, which in my opinion wasn’t that good. But salmon, ahh I love salmon.
Ok this is maybe the clearest pic I actually took. I don’t know if it was fools luck or did I break the camera after I took this as I recall this must have been one of the first ones I took. My camera is a Diana Mini and looks like this:
I think the white was super cool. Now, some more pics:
OKAY, yes we used a lot of taxi. Smoking prohibited.
Well, of course. The Big Ben.
Well sometimes we shop in Primarché. Classy.
My dear friend Kim Q.
Sandra. Both of the previous are from Primark.
What a cliché to shoot buses, but hey, atleast the had colour.
Well. Maybe I was a bit propietary on the camera as this is the only pic of myself, a glare from the elevator wall from out hotel in London. Our room was awesome, we had our breakfast as room service, now that was cool.
